Runway 10-28 and Taxiway A Rehabilitation
Henry E. Rohlsen International Airport - St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands
AID serves as the general consultant for this airport and provided the design, construction administration, and inspection services for the rehabilitation of Runway 10-28 and Taxiway A. AID was also the Engineer of Record. The project included the mill and overlay of the western 2,400-foot section of the Runway and the seal coating of the eastern 7600-foot of the Runway and Taxiway A, as well as isolated repair work for Taxiway A. Runway 10-28 is the airport’s only runway and had to remain open during the day for airport operations. Because of this, construction was completed between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
