Taxiway A Rehabilitation
Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport - Brooksville, Florida
As the general consultant for this airport, AID served as the Engineer of Record and provided design, bidding, and construction administration for this project. The project included the rehabilitation of Taxiway A and all the taxiway connectors and the construction of a new Taxiway A5. The existing pavement consisted of an 8-inch-thick concrete slab and was milled 1.5 inches and replaced with a 1.5-inch asphalt leveling course followed by a 3-inch-thick asphalt surface course. To avoid disturbing existing underground anomalies, low impact demolition and construction techniques were required. No vibratory compaction or concrete crushing were allowed on this project.
